In class we will be looking over a few blogs to see how they are set up. After previewing, you will consider what makes a blog a blog. What are its vital components? What is the purpose of the blog? How long are the postings?
Your task will be to post a link to a blog. You will do this by writing a comment after this post. After doing so, provide at least three sentences answering the following question: what makes a blog different than a normal website?
A blog is different from a normal website because anyone who follows the blog can comment. They can put their own opinions on the subject so everyone can read them. A blog is a great way to keep up with people. Blogs let you write whatever you feel about the subject of the blog. Normal websites don't allow other people to comment and write whatever they want. Blogs can be however long the blogger wants to write about the certain subject and voice their opinion.
ReplyDeleteA blog is something that lets people "follow" you and keep up with what you are doing. Only people who follow or are accepted by the creator can write on the blog. Blogs allow people to freely express their opinions. It is a great way to keep up with people. Blogs are a type of diary except people are allowed to respond and comment. Postings can be as long as the writer wants. Regular websites give information on a certain subject and not everyone can add things or edit the website.

ReplyDeleteBlogs are not just like websites that give listings. Blogs allow users to express their own personal opinions on various topics, in depth or not while being able to communicate with other users that may or may not express the same opinion. Blogs are also usually updated every so often, since the creator of the blog often responds to comments and may or may not update the OP, original post.

ReplyDeleteA blog is a place where people are allowed to talk about what they would like to and also express how they feel about a certain subject. An average website gives info on just the one topic that the website is about. A blog can be about anything that is on the bloggers mind and what they would like to share with others.
A blog is a place where one or more people can post freely their own opinions and ideas on the internet for others to read. Some blogs are managed by a single person about their daily lives. Other blogs are composed of several people contributing to a topic, such as creepypasta or debates.

ReplyDeleteA blog gets straight to the point faster then a regular website where you have to search everywhere for the one thing that you want. It also allows the reader to comment and participate in the conversation and add his or her expertise. A blog allows a writer to let their readers know what they are thinking about everyday.
